Purpose:        To provide Level I instruction specifically developed for air operator employees
designated to perform duties as Flight Security Monitors and/or Ground Security Coordinators. Program
of instruction combines both Standard and Recommended Practices of US 49CFR as well as
International requirements. Skill Sets include: Access control, anti-sabotage procedures, passenger and
baggage screening and inter-agency cooperation.
Prerequisites:   Candidates must be assigned duties as FSM or GSC with an active airline
operation
.
Remarks:          Curriculum includes: Defining the Threat, Legislative background, FSM and GSC
duties and responsibilities, Enhancing Interpersonal Communication skills - Customer Service
techniques, Innovative Passenger Profiling, CQT and full student participatory practicum exercises.
Course is 40% academic and 60% hands on learning
Tuition and Fees:  $ 1400 USD per student instructional fee includes checklist handouts,
workbook, evaluation instruments, library CD ROM and Certificate on successful completion.
